Protoshop is a new event jointly organised by Imu and the Finnish Fair Corporation for the Habitare design fair. Protoshop is presenting 11 new prototypes from 10 designers working in Finland. On show are inventive products for both home and public spaces.

The goal is to create a fresh and exciting exhibition that brings designers and businesses together in a new way and helps find suitable homes for the exhibited designs.

Imu is a designer-led exhibition organisation established in 2002. To-date, Imu has exhibited works by 31 young designers in events in London, Milan; New York, Zurich and Helsinki. Imu has presented an altenative take on Finnish Design in the 21st century and has given up and coming designers a platform to show their work. Imu is coordinated by three Helsinki-based designers: Elina Aalto, Krista Kosonen and Saara Renvall. Imu stands for imagination, eccentricity and solidarity. www.imudesign.org
